Dr. Troy here, the low energy chiropractor. Just kidding, that’s what I want to talk about.

Low energy and fatigue is one of the biggest things we ask patients when they come in. How’s your energy, how’s your sleep?

People are tired nowadays and they want to know what to do.

They will reach for Rockstars to try and get a boost. They wake up and they’re tired, go to bed and they’re tired, they don’t sleep good.

I’ve got to tell you one thing, your nerve system runs it all. It regulates your sleep, your healing and your recovery.

We know if the central nerve system gets out of balance, if the autonomic nerves get out of balance from each other then you can have issues.

One of the most common things we see in people when they start receiving chiropractic care is their energy come up or they sleep better.

When you sleep better you’re going to recover better. I always say, if you’re not going to be recouped, you’re gonna be pooped.

We look to see if the bones of your spine are out of alignment. We see a lot of this with people who sit at a desk for their jobs. They’re sitting there, their heads go forward and puts tension and strain on the cord, they’re not getting oxygen to the spinal cord.

One of the things we do is we get patients moving on a wobble chair and using traction that helps bring oxygen to the cord, wake up the brain, and helps the body regulate itself.

If these bones get out of alignment it will interfere with your peripheral nerves that innervate your whole body so that’s what we look for.

If chiropractic finds a misalignment, that could be causing your low energy. Also, another great thing is wuji chlorella, we put a lot of people on wuji chlorella.

They tell us they sleep better and they get a lot more energy. It’s a whole food. A lot of people are nutrient deficient and not getting enough nutrients in their food so their bodies are always in a state of being fatigued and tired.

I recently had a lady in a motor vehicle collision and I asked her, “How are you doing?”

“I’m tired, I’m fatigued.”

You will see a lot of people develop a cold after a trauma. One of the things we do is an exam, X-Rays, to determine if there is a misalignment .

If there is, it is putting stress and strain on your body. It’s weakening you and it’s making you not adapt to the environment like you should.

Come in, let us check you to see if chiropractic care is right for you.

More Information on Treating Fatigue

The statistics regarding insomnia and other sleep disorders paint a frightful picture of our current state of health. More than 30% of the population suffers from insomnia, and that number goes up to over 50% for people over sixty. When people are unable to sleep, a number of associated problems are also more likely, such as chronic depression, a loss of efficiency at work, and increased likelihood of traffic accidents.

Causes of Fatigue

There are a wide variety of reasons for our nation’s sleep deprivation, many of which can seem outside of our control. We all have busy lives with many commitments that take up much of our time and make it extremely difficult to lead a healthy lifestyle. But there is a path to treatment, and it starts with identifying exactly what is causing your fatigue.

Let’s take a look at some of the leading causes of low energy:

First of all, a common cause of fatigue is an unbalanced spinal column. This is because when your spine is out of position, it places more stress and weight on the body, leading to greater exhaustion. Even a minor misalignment can add up over the course of weeks and months.

Our nervous system is an important determiner of our energy levels. When our nerves are blocks, pinched, or imbalanced, it can interfere with our body’s ability to function properly, adversely affecting our nervous system, immune system, and other bodily functions.

Of course, the number one leading cause of fatigue is stress. High stress affects a person’s adrenal system, the part of our bodies that regulates our hormones and helps us respond to stressful situations. The adrenal glands are located in the lower back, just above the kidneys, and they release hormones including cortisone, epinephrine, and norepinephrine.

Low Energy Analysis and Treatment

It is important to thoroughly look at all of a patient’s symptoms when treating someone for the first time in order to accurately gauge what the problem is and why he or she is suffering from fatigue and low energy. Symptoms that can help provide clues include the following:

  • Insomnia
  • Depression
  • Low energy
  • Mood swings
  • Muscular weakness
  • Decreased sex drive
  • Weakened immune system
  • Memory loss or forgetfulness
  • Irritability
  • Lower back pain or stiffness

All of the above are signs that something is wrong. The good news is that they are treatable with the right approach.

Fatigue and Chiropractic Care

What the above symptoms all have in common is that they can be signs of a misaligned or imbalanced spine. Correcting the misalignment can help reduce stress, increase energy levels, and improve the functioning of your nervous system and internal organs. It often amazes me how quickly patients will see improvements in their energy levels after only a few sessions.

We make it a priority to work with our patients to do more than just treat the most glaring symptoms. We aim to improve your overall health, so that you can regain an active and vigorous lifestyle. By reducing your back pain and lowering your stress levels, you’ll quickly find yourself sleeping better, working more efficiently, and enjoying your free time more.
